Aron Lawrence Stapp Jr., 81, of Clanton died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Prattville Baptist Hospital in Prattville.
He was born on Saturday, Dec. 24, 1927 in Oklahoma, son of the late Aron Lawrence Stapp Sr. and the late Patty Bond Stapp.
He was a retired captain with the United States Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Stapp of Clanton; daughter, Nancy Lynn Jones of Montana; four grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Stapp of Denver.
He was preceded in death by his son, Al Stapp; son, Robert Stapp; mother, Patty Stapp; and wife, Jeanette Stapp.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.
