Thelma Virginia Buckner, 84, of Clanton died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born on Friday, Sept. 25, 1925, in Alabama, daughter of the late William Howard Buckner, Sr. and the late Annie Gertrude Yessick Buckner.

Surviving are her two brothers, Howard (Barbara) Buckner, Jr. of Thorsby, and Robert (Peggy) Buckner of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Ann (Steve) Kundrat of Bluffton, S.C. and Patricia (James) Robertson of Rocky Mount, Va.

Friends were received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel
The Rev. Larry Anderson and the Rev. Brian Dovey officiated the service.
Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
