Get healthy with the Advertiser

Two special Clanton Advertiser publications are planned in the coming weeks that will focus only on health related news.

Our staff just finished our annual Medical Directory. The 2009 version is expected to be included in this weekend’s (Sunday, Oct. 11) paper.

The magazine includes tips on how to eat right, avoid the swine flu and stay in tiptop health. The booklet also features stories on many local doctors, stores and other health-related businesses that offer an up-close look at the history and future of this vital industry in Chilton County.

Later in October, we will publish our annual Breast Cancer Awareness section. This cause is especially important to me because several members of my mother’s family, including my late grandmother, battled this disease.

The special publication will feature the stories of breast cancer survivors, general facts about the disease, and ways you can help raise awareness and help find a cure.

I believe you will find these upcoming sections interesting and newsworthy. Our goal was to produce something your family can use as a reference when making health care decisions.
