Arthritis Walk site for annual flu shots
The 2009 Chilton County Arthritis Walk this Saturday will consist of much more than just a walk.
From 9 a.m. until noon in front of Chilton Medical Center, HealthSpring will offer flu shots and pneumonia vaccinations to the public.
Shots will be free with accepted forms of insurance, including the following: HealthSpring, Medicare Part B, Blue Cross and Blue Shield — Blue Advantage, Viva, Advantra, AARP Medicare Complete, and Humana Gold PFFS.
Non-insured costs are $20 for a flu shot and $35 for a pneumonia shot.
Also, SunCrest Home Health (formerly Chilton Medical Center Home Health) will have an information table on site.
Meanwhile, Chilton Medical Center will offer blood pressure screenings to those in attendance.
The Arthritis Walk begins with registration at 8 a.m., followed by the Walk at 9 a.m. The Walk is held annually to raise money for research, education and awareness through the Arthritis Foundation.
