Devils dominant again, this time on the road

Class 1A No. 4 Maplesville stayed unbeaten on Friday with a 40-6 win at Autaugaville.
Quarterback Matt Hamner was a perfect 9-for-9 on the night with 202 passing yards and four total touchdowns.
Hamner connected with Tyler Crumpton for the game’s first score, a 15-yard pass play.
Hamner next found James Madsen for a 20-yard touchdown play.
Casey Atchison led the Maplesville defense with 10 tackles, and he got the Red Devils defense on the board when he recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score.
Hunter McCay scored on a 10-yard run before Hamner added a rushing touchdown on a 1-yard run.
The Red Devils (5-0 overall, 4-0 Class 1A, Region 3) scored their last points on a 45-yard pass from Hamner to Madsen.
Maplesville amassed 455 yards of total offense, compared to Autaugaville’s 69 yards.
McCay had 160 yards of total offense, and Chris Bailey ran six times for 106 yards.
