Sanford Lamar DeVaughn, 82, of Clanton died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 at Bill Nichols Nursing Home in Montgomery.
He was born Tuesday, July 26, 1927 in Chilton County, son of the late Sanford Marion DeVaughn and the late Eudora Taylor DeVaughn.
He was a store owner.
Surviving are his son, Mr. Mark DeVaughn of Clanton; two daughters, Mrs. Vicki (Larry) Brown of Montgomery and Ms. Debbie Coker of Clanton; three grandsons, Mr. Anthony (Julie) Brown of Auburn, Mr. Josh Coker of Clanton and Mr. Matt Coker of Clanton; granddaughter, Mrs. Sky (Joe) Strickland; great grandchildren, Cade and Chase Strickland, Tyler, Catie, Conner and Abby Brown; sister, Mrs. Annie Pearl Cleckler; and friends, Janice and Jim Miller, Margaret Mims and Karen Voss.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Chilton Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m.
