Ruby Joyce Gandy Allred, 76, of Clanton died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was born on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1932 in Chilton County, daughter of the late T.A. Gandy and the late Allie Sarah Vance Gandy.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Pattie Taylor (David) Brown of Rochester, N.Y.; three grandsons, Austyn Taylor of Rochester, N.Y., Ethan Brown of Rochester, N.Y., Wesley Allred of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Lela Allred of Clanton; and granddaughter, Katie Allred of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Harold Allred.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery in Clanton.
