Jemison Mayor Eddie Reed today endorsed Cam Ward for the Alabama Senate in the June 2010 Republican Primary.
Cam Ward is currently a state representative in Shelby and Bibb Counties and is seeking a seat in the Alabama Senate in District 14 (Chilton, Shelby, and Bibb Counties) to replace Hank Erwin, who is running for Lieutenant Governor.
“I am supporting Cam Ward for the Alabama Senate because he impresses me as a proactive public servant who gets results. He has the experience to be an effective leader and the ability to work with both sides for the betterment of this District,” Reed said.
Reed went on to say “Cam has spent a lot of time visiting schools and listening to the concerns of people in Jemison lately. His willingness to discuss the issues facing our community is very refreshing leadership.”
Ward expressed his gratitude to Reed.
“I appreciate the confidence Mayor Reed has shown in me by his endorsement. I will continue meeting with leaders and citizens in Chilton County so that I am familiar with their needs and concerns,” Rep. Ward said.
Ward has been a member of the Alabama House of Representatives since his election in 2002.
He and his wife Julie and daughter Riley live in Alabaster.
