Three people died Saturday after a two-vehicle wreck north of Clanton on Alabama 145, according to Alabama State Troopers.

John Carter Mitchell, 50, of Columbiana was killed along with Zachary Ryan Ellison, 18, and Kayla Leeann Brackin, 19, both of Clanton.

Mitchell was driving a 2004 F-150 truck, while Ellison drove a 1998 Ford Ranger.

The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. about nine miles north of Clanton and remains under investigation by troopers.
