Mrs. Catherine Wilson Bearden departed this life Aug. 28, 2009.
She was born in Maplesville, in the New Convert community, to Walter and Annie Mae Wilson on June 26, 1946. She was a resident of Plantersville for 44 years.
Mrs. Bearden is survived by her husband, Elijah Bearden; daughter, Tracy Bearden Haynes of Marietta, Ga.; son-in-law, Phillip Haynes of Smyrna, Ga.; son, Alvin (ZsaQuanda) Bearden of Forestdale; daughter, LaKesha LaNae Bearden of Plantersville; three grandchildren, Aaron Bearden, Ariel Bearden and Quentin Blanding; two sisters, Maurine (Leon) Goodson of Maplesville and Mary (Thomas) King of Detroit; two brothers, Terry Wilson of Maplesville and Jerry (Iola) Wilson of Clanton; cousin but like a sister, Ora (Hershel) Baines of Akron, Ohio; cousin but like a sister, Inez (Charles) Johnson of Selma; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister, Annie Louise Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Plantersville. Agee Brothers Funeral Home officiating. Visitation hours are Friday, Sept. 4 from 1-8 p.m.
