Verizon Wireless store robbed
The Verizon Wireless store on U.S. 31 across from San Marcos restaurant was robbed Monday around 7:30 p.m.
Two black males entered the store as employees were closing through a back door and made off with an undetermined amount of cash, said Detective Freddie Mayfield.
Mayfield said the robbers followed an employee into the store after he or she went out back for a few minutes.
At least one of the suspects was reportedly carrying a knife.
The men left the store on foot.
Tracking dogs were brought in to look for suspects, according to Police Chief Brian Stilwell.
