Willie James Sansom

Willie James Sansom, 65, of Thorsby died Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born on Wednesday, April 26, 1944, in Chilton County. 
Sansom is the son of Willie Clyde Sansom and the late Minnie Pearl Driver Sansom.
He was a general laborer with the city of Clanton Water Department.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Sansom of Thorsby; two daughters, Amanda Turner of Thorsby and Teresa Evans of Thorsby; step-daughter, Tricia Foster of Thorsby; step-son, Lynn Beard of Brownwood, Texas; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; father, Willie Clyde Sansom of Thorsby; two brothers, Harold Sansom of Clanton and Mickey Sansom of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Pearl Sansom, and brother, Donald Sansom.
Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 at Clanton Church of God.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Aug. 15 at Clanton Church of God with the Rev. Billy Boatwright and the Rev. Harlon Harris officiating. Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
