Hopewell Baptist Church in Clanton will host a Job Corps workshop on Aug. 21 beginning at 10 a.m.

Job Corps is the nation’s largest free career technical training and education program that helps young people learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED and find and keep a good job.

Job Corps is for eligible youth between the ages of 16 and 24 years old and who have a desire to “enter to learn and depart to earn.”

The program offers hands-on training in more than 100 career technical areas, including the following:

Automotive and machine repair

Construction

Finance and business services

Health care

Hospitality

Information technology

Manufacturing

Renewable resources, among others

Hopewell Baptist Church is located at 1497 Hopewell Drive in Clanton.
