Larry Lamar Smith, 49, of Clanton died Monday at Chilton Medical Center.

He was born on March 17, 1960, in Columbus, Ga., son of the late James (Buddy) Smith and Garlden Bryant.
He was a rock miner.

Surviving are his wife, Darlene Smith of Clanton; mother, Garlden Bryant of Clanton; three daughters, Tabatha Horn of Thorsby, Heather (Steven) Williams of Clanton, and Lindsey Smith of Jasper; son, Brandon (Ashley) Smith of Columbiana; two step-daughters, Brittany Easterling of Clanton and Crystal Adair of Clanton; grandchildren, Kevin Owens, Kaylie Horn, Dylan Horn, Ty Smith, Ezekiel Smith, Taylen Wyatt, Kaiden Williams, Aiden Williams and Andrea Smitherman; seven brothers; father-in-Law, Loren Simmons of Clanton; mother-in-laws, Judy Holley and Pam Simmons of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his father, James (Buddy) Smith and Sister, Elissa (Diane) Adair.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday at New Life Community Church.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Life Community with Scott Springer officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Springs Cemetery in Clanton.
