James L. Gurry Jr., 47, of Clanton died Tuesday.

He was born on Nov. 24, 1961 in Oklahoma, son of James L. Curry Sr. and Nadine Hill.

He was a welder.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy Gurry of Clanton; two sons, Tanner Gurry of Clanton and Tyler Gurry of Oklahoma; father, James L. Gurry, Sr. of Oklahoma; mother, Nadine Hill of Oklahoma; step-son, Ryan (Jessie) Kilosky of Clanton; daughter, Adria M. Sharp of Tennessee; granddaughter, Kay Brownlee Gurry; two sisters, Donnie Dinson of Oklahoma and Linda Jestice of Oklahoma; and brother, Mike Gurry of Oklahoma.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
