A pageant pro and a relative newcomer both won crowns Saturday night at Chilton County High School.

Allison Nicole Cobb took home the Miss Chilton County title, while Mary Elizabeth McKinney was named Young Miss Chilton County.

Cobb, 21, served as Miss Peach Queen in 2004 and is also a former Junior Miss Chilton County. She is the daughter of J.L. Cobb and Diane Calloway.

“I was just kind of speechless. It was such a great honor to be chosen,” said Cobb, an electrical engineering student at Auburn University and graduate of Jemison High School. “The people of Chilton County are what makes this county so special and getting to represent them again is something I look forward to.”

Rounding out the Miss Chilton County court were Mary Elizabeth Gasson, Miss Congeniality; Victoria Nicole “Nicki” Melton, fourth runner-up; Paula Nicole Littleton, third runner-up; Malley Frances Benson, second runner-up; and Hillary Megan Cleckler, first runner-up and casual wear winner.

McKinney, 11, was named Young Miss Chilton County. She is the daughter of David and Kim McKinney and a student a Clanton Middle School.

Her mother said she was nervous, having only been in two pageants before.

When asked how she felt about winning, she answered, “Oh, my goodness…”

McKinney’s court includes Alexis Bailee Connell, fourth alternate; Makenzie Leigh Roller, third alternate and casual wear winner; Leah Catherine Easterling, second alternate; and Alexis “Lexie” Danielle Gray, first alternate.

The Clanton Evening Lions Club sponsors the Miss Chilton County pageants.
