James Edward Bracken, 72, of Thorsby died Friday, July 17, 2009 at Chilton Medical Center, Clanton.

He was born on Monday, July 5, 1937 in Missouri, Son of the late James Marlin Bracken and the late Ruby Vanlandingham Bracken.

He was retired from the USAF after 20 years of service and a member of Jemison First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his Wife, Linda Donniette C. Bracken of Thorsby, AL; 4 Daughters, Laura Fontnot, LA, Lana Kneble, MS, Linda R. (Keith) Bracken-Holbert, LA, Cynthia ( Tony) Means of Thorsby, AL; Son, Mike (Kim) Stone of Deatsville, AL; 3 Sisters, Mabelene Baker, TX, Eveylene Wilson, AR, Jewell McBryde, TX; 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, James Marlin & Ruby Bracken; Brother, Eugene Bracken; Sister, JoAnn Wilson.

Friends will be received from 6-8, Monday, July 20, 2009 @ Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 2:00 PM. at Jemison First Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Kent officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
