In the past week, Chilton County lost two of its finest doctors — and citizens. Pediatrician Christine Creus and chiropractor William Chadwick both died within six days of one another.

Dr. Creus died July 4 after a six-month battle with lung cancer. Dr. Chadwick died unexpectedly Wednesday.

Both doctors are being remembered this week for their practices, vibrant personalities and active participation in the community.

We pass along our condolences to their families, friends, coworkers and patients in this difficult time.

While we too are saddened to lose such outstanding members of the community, we take comfort in all the stories being told this week about Dr. Creus and Dr. Chadwick.

Both doctors greatly loved this community … a feeling that was mutual.
