Fonsie Lee Minor, 79, of Clanton died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham.
He was born Saturday, April 19, 1930 in Chilton County, son of the late Corneilus Minor and the late Mollie Connell Minor.
He was a custodian.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nettie Mae Minor of Clanton; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda (Ronnie) Johnson of Clanton, Mrs. Wynell (Lynn) Plier of Clanton; son, Mr. Tommy Lee Minor of Clanton; sister, Mrs. Annie Lee Mims of Clanton; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ms. JoAnn Minor; and son, Mr. Jimmie Lee Minor.
Services were held Tuesday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at Clanton Church of God with the Rev. W. T. Cleckler and the Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating.
Interment followed in Glad Tidings Cemetery, Clanton.
