In announcing the winners, APA announced the staff of The Clanton Advertiser won several advertising, editorial and press quality awards.

The staff also earned a second place in the small daily category for best local education coverage; second place in the best spot news photo for a photo taken by former managing editor Brent Maze; a third place award for best color ad (half page or smaller) for Chilton Pediatrics built by Jennifer Locke and Boyd Smith; a first place award in best signature page for the annual Chilton County Peaches page designed by Jennifer Locke; third place best editorial page and a first place sports photo taken by sports editor Stephen Dawkins.
