Jewell M. Calloway, 85, of Verbena died Thursday, May 21 at Prattville Baptist Hospital, Prattville.
She was born Thursday, May 8, 1924 in Jefferson County, daughter of the late John Milford Moore and the late Zetta Crowe Moore.
She was a retired postmaster in Verbena.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ann C. Rainwater of Billingsley, Mrs. Cheryl C. Mills of Birmingham; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; and brother, Mr. Paul Moore of Bessemer.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, May 22 at Martin Chapel.
Services will be held Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at Martin Chapel. Interment will follow in Verbena Baptist Cemetery.
