Funeral services for Bessie Mae Smith, 90, of Randolph, Ala., will be Monday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo with the Rev. Calvin Crocker and the Rev. Chad Sentel officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Montevallo.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel.
Smith, who died Thursday, May 7, was a 35-year member of Providence Baptist Church in Montevallo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lonzie Smith; father, Benjamin Cauley White; mother, Bertie Susan Hatcher White; four brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.
Survivors include daughters Edna Fay Johns of Plyersville, Ala., Hilda Smith Howell of Pell City, Ala., Becky Crowson of Randolph, Peggy Sue Hatter of Jemison, Mary Joyce Jarvis of Randolph; sons Ben (Mary Ann) Smith of Jemison and James A. (Fay) Smith of Jemison; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
The family offers thanks to every member of the Holistic Health Care Hospice.
