MONTGOMERY – Chilton County, Jemison and Thorsby were all eliminated Friday from their respective South Central Region tournaments at Lagoon Park.

Each team lost its first game, which put them into loser’s bracket games later Friday.

CCHS lost its opener to Shelby County, 8-0; Jemison fell to Alabama Christian, 12-0; and Thorsby was defeated by American Christian, 15-0.

“We just didn’t hit the ball,” CCHS coach Krisi Parrish said after the loss to Shelby, but the Tigers did improve in their second game, against Valley.

CCHS carried a 3-0 lead into the sixth inning, when Valley tied the game.

Valley went ahead 4-3 in the seventh. Chilton loaded the bases with two outs but couldn’t push any runs across.

Jemison lost its second game, 13-0, to Munford.

Thorsby was eliminated by Horseshoe Bend, 6-5.
