Billingsley drops two at Holy Spirit

The Billingsley baseball team’s season was ended Friday with two losses to Holy Spirit in the first round of the state playoffs. The Bears (8-11) fell 22-2, in five innings, and 13-2 to the state’s No. 5 team.
Preston Wallace went 1-for-1 with a walk and a run scored in the first game. Donny Smith went 2-for-2 with one run scored and one RBI. Travis Ivy went 1-for-3 and was the losing pitcher.
Forrest Ousley finished 2-for-3 with a walk in the second game, and Wallace went 2-for-2 with two doubles. Wes Lawrence suffered the loss on the mound in that one.
