Church’s faith an inspiration

The fire that destroyed Maple Springs Baptist Church in December 2007 could have been enough to break the faith of normal people, but church members are proving themselves extraordinary.
More than 15 months later, the church is being rebuilt by a group of dedicated believers. “We really believe God’s going to provide everything we need,” church pastor the Rev. Roland Davis said.
Though $4,500 and many hours of work have been donated, $200,000 is still needed to complete the 6,400-foot structure.
We hope the Maple Springs congregation can move into its new church soon because that would be the completion of a shining example of perseverance and faith.
