Rickey Earl Connell, 55, of Clanton died Saturday, March 28 at UAB Palliative Care, Birmingham.
He was born on Friday, May 29, 1953 in Chilton County, son of the late Robert Earl Connell and the late Marie McCord Connell.
He made his living as an owner/operator.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Connell of Clanton; son, Chris Connell of Pelham; two sisters, Earline Edwards of Clanton, Tonya Scarbrough of Clanton; two brothers, Tim Connell of Clanton, Lawayne Connell of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Connell; mother, Marie Connell; brother, Harold Connell.
Services were held yesterday, Monday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Tony D. Smitherman and the Rev. Glenn Bonds officiating.
Interment will follow in Providence No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery.
