Ruth Gwenette Hudson, 47, of Clanton died Tuesday, March 24, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham.
She was born on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1961 in Arizona, daughter of the late Samuel Rice Hudson and Losie Goggins Hudson. She was a customer service manager.
Surviving are her daughter, Shanda Hudson (Russell) Yates of Clanton; mother, Losie Hudson of Verbena; brother, Samuel Lorenzo Hudson of Verbena; sister-in-Law, Lisa Hudson of Augusta, Ga.; nephew, Will (Nicole) Hudson of Atlanta, Ga.; best friend, Bonnie Myrick.
She was preceded in death by: daughter, Amy N. Hudson; grandson, Zander Rice Yates; father, Samuel R. Hudson; Brother, Dr. John Rice Hudson.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Sunday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin West officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Creek Cemetery, Marbury.
