AUBURN — Auburn is a No. 2 seed in the NCAA women’s tournament and will face Patriot League champion Lehigh in the first round.

The eighth-ranked Tigers were placed in the Oklahoma City Regional and will play Saturday at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J. the home floor of Rutgers — also in the regional as a seven-seed.

This marks the second time Auburn (29-3) has made the tournament under fifth-year coach Nell Fortner and the 18th overall in program history. The Tigers have not been seeded this low since 1990, when they were a two-seed and advanced to the Final Four — the third of three straight appearances.
