After many years of practice, Bobby Easterling has Clanton Country Club’s golf course figured out.

On March 6, Easterling recorded his fourth hole-in-one at the course after about 50 years of playing there.

Easterling hit a 6 iron on the par-3 No. 6 hole but wasn’t immediately sure just how good of a shot it was.

“I knew it went toward the hole, but we didn’t know it went in until we got down there to it,” said Easterling, a Clanton City councilman.

The ace was actually Easterling’s second on No. 6.

Easterling said the holes-in-one are occurring more often than they did when he first started playing.

“I’m getting luckier as I get older,” Easterling said.
