Thorsby pounded out 16 hits yesterday in a 20-5, five-inning win over Parkway Christian.
The Rebels (11-1) wasted no time putting runs on the board. Parkway scored one run in the top of the first inning before Thorsby leadoff hitter Evan Bryan laced a line drive into center field. Five batters later, Daniel Farris drove a grand slam home run over the left field fence to give his team a 5-1 lead.
The visiting Wildcats (0-3) scored three runs in the second, but Thorsby struck for 10 runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Parkway pushed one run across in the third, and Thorsby concluded the scoring with five runs in the same inning.
Farris finished 2-for-2 with five RBI and two runs scored. Bryan (2/2, BB, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R), Brantley Bice (2/3, 3B, 3 RBI, 4 R), Blake Elkins (3/4, 3B, 3 RBI, R), Trent Glosson (2/3, BB, 2B, 3 RBI, R) and Lance Price (2/2, R) also had multi-hit games.
Nick Spearman earned the win in relief by holding Parkway to one run on five hits and one walk in three innings while striking out six.
