Carrie Catherine Gentry, 74, of Clanton died Saturday, Feb. 14 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.
She was born Saturday, April 19, 1934 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Enoch Hayes and the late Ethel Landers Hayes.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her two daughters, Peggy (William) Spigner of Maplesville, Linda (Joe) Scroggs of North Augusta, SC; son, Michael (Torrie) Gentry of Alpharetta, Ga.; two sisters, Zannie Roseberry of Clanton, Vonzell Roseberry of Prattville; two grandsons, Aaron Scroggs of North Augusta, SC, Brandon Scroggs of North Augusta, SC; three granddaughters, Callie Macy of Alpharetta, Ga., Caitlin Gentry of Alpharetta, Ga., Carrie Spigner of Maplesville; two great grandsons, Maddox Macy of Alpharetta, Ga., Cooper Scroggs of North Augusta, SC; great granddaughter, Addison Macy of Alpharetta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gentry.
Services were held Monday, Feb. 16, 11 a.m., at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Donovan officiating.
Interment followed in Sardis Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville.
