Visiting LAMP outhit Jemison 12-2 Monday in both teams’ season opener, and the final score was worse.

The Tigers won, 12-0, in six innings and were helped by seven Jemison errors.

The Panthers didn’t generate nearly enough offense to overcome the defensive miscues. Only Jacob Chapman and Donny Eslinger managed to hit safely.

LAMP, meanwhile, scored at least two runs in every inning except the second.

Miller Norman and William Brooks did much of the damage as the two combined to go 6-for-8 with a walk, three doubles, three runs scored and four RBI.

Austin White pitched the whole game and earned the win. He walked three and struck out 10.

Patrick Sims was the losing pitcher. Sims struck out seven over six innings.
