Charles Culp

Charles Franklin Culp, 73, of Jemison died yesterday at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
He was born on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1935 in Chilton County, son of the late Reedie Lee Culp and the late Gertha Headley Culp.
He was a farmer.
Mr. Culp was an instrumental community leader in Chilton County. “Dedicated to Serving Others.”
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Culp of Jemison; three daughters, Terry (Alton) Ellison of Jemison, Rita (Chris) Ward of Jemison, and Angie Belligan of Jemison; four grandchildren, Andy (Ashley) Ellison, Robin (Allison) Ellison, Ashley Ward, Georgia Belligan; four great-grandchildren, Madisyn Ellison, Logan Ellison, Jack Ellison, and Luke Ellison; and two sisters, Loueene (Willard) Payne of Pelham and Jackie (Jeff) Johnson of Winter Springs, Fla.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Union Grove Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 16 at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Hilyer and the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison.
