Esther Bryant, 86, of Clanton died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Hatley Health Care, Clanton.
She was born on Sunday, Oct. 1, 1922 in Chilton County, daughter of the late John Wesley Driver and the late Lillie Grant Driver. She was a sales clerk.
Surviving are her two daughters, Deliah (Sonny) Roller of Clanton and Sharon (Lane) Ross of Wilsonville; son, Donnie (Kathy) Bryant of Clanton; four grandsons, Gregory (Gena) Roller of Clanton, Troy (Nicole) Waller of Bigfork, Mont., Jody Bryant of Birmingham and Joshua (Sandra) Bryant of Clanton; three granddaughters, Sonni (Glenn) Cummings of Saraland, Rochelle (Chris) Baker of Clanton and Angel Myers of Hueytown; great-grandchildren, John Roller, Amanda Roller, Brad Roller, Makenzie Roller, Brandon Baker, Bryant Baker, Anna Grace Baker, Deacon Waller, Michael Thornton and Dylan Falkner, three great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins; four sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Davis of Clanton, Frances (Homer) Robinson of Verbena, Linda (Bill) Lockhart of Montgomery and Johnnie (Bobby) Wyatt of Prattville; brother, Gerald (Ginger) Driver of Panama City, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Lillie Driver; sister, Edith (Lee) Davis; husband, John H. Bryant; son, Gary E. Bryant.
Services will be held today, Feb. 13, at 3 p.m. at Old Chestnut Creek Baptist with the Rev. Tom Hilyer, the Rev. Wendell Kelley and the Rev. Tony Christensen officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena.
