David Stewart Reeves, 74, of Marbury died Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham.
He was born on Friday, June 29, 1934 in Alabama, son of the late Woodrow Reeves and the late Ruby Howell. He was an ironworker.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dolores Reeves of Marbury; two sons, Mr. Maxie Reeves of Marbury and Mr. Tony Reeves of Jemison; two daughters, Mrs. Lisa Knight of Marbury and Mrs. Robin Cook of Deatsville; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Mr. Tom Cobern of Verbena.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Hazel Reeves; son, Mr. Casey Reeves; grandson, Mr. Dewey Lee Knight Jr.; great-granddaughter, Miss Amber Nicole Reeves and parents and sister.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. today, Feb. 12, at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carey Waldrop and the Rev. Tony Christenson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Creek Cemetery, Marbury.
