Luther Cleckler, 91, of Clanton died Monday, Feb. 9, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham.
He was born on Tuesday, April 10, 1917 in Chilton County, son of the late Bodie Cleckler and the late Clara Mims Cleckler. He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sadie Cleckler of Clanton; son, Mr. Eugene Cleckler of Clanton; grandson, Mr. Kim Cleckler of Clanton; great-grandson, Mr. Eiland Cleckler of Clanton; one brother and one sister.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lelvin Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow in Old Macedonia Cemetery, Clanton.
