Harold Payton Connell, 50, of Clanton died Thursday, Feb. 5, in Verbena.
He was born on Sunday, July 20, 1958 in Alabama, son of the late Earl Connell and the late Marie McCord Connell. He worked in logging.
Surviving are his wife, Kay Connell of Clanton; daughter, Lisa (Chris) Ward of Clanton; son, James (Lisa) Connell of Clanton; five granddaughters, Taylor Connell of Clanton, Tara Connell of Clanton, Tamera Connell of Clanton, Desiree Ward of Clanton and Christopher Ward of Clanton; three brothers, Ricky Connell of Clanton, Tim Connell of Clanton and Wayne Connell of Clanton; two sisters, Earlene Edwards of Clanton and Tonya Scarbrough of Clanton.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., today, Feb. 7, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow in Providence #2 Baptist Cemetery, Clanton.
