Roger and Kim Scott are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Crystal Megan Roper, to Brian Nicholas Burnett, son of Karl Burnett and Patsy Burnett.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Clint Simmons and Veronica Benton and the granddaughter of Theresa Terrell.

She is a graduate of Chilton County High School and is currently attending Wallace Community College.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Dr. Ralph and Muriel Brannon of Hartford and Jim and Myra Burnett of Clanton.

He is a graduate of Chilton County High School and is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.

The wedding is set for Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church. There will be a reception directly following the ceremony. All friends and family are invited to attend.
