A number of local residents have been named to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) academic honor roll for the fall 2008 term.

To qualify for the presidential honors list, a student must earn a 4.0 grade point average and be classified as a full-time student registered for a minimum of eight credit hours during the quarter.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must attend school full-time and earn an overall total grade-point average of 3.6 to 3.9 on a 4.0 scale.
