TUSCALOOSA — Alabama coach Mark Gottfried said point guard Ron Steele is out indefinitely with a heel injury.

Gottfried said Thursday that he expects Steele to miss multiple games but he isn’t sure how many. The Crimson Tide were without the senior guard in a loss at Mississippi State.

Gottfried said Tide players are determined to succeed without Steele. They visit Auburn on Saturday.

He said Brandon Hollinger and Mikhail Torrance will take over point guard duties while Steele is out.

Torrance came off the bench to score 20 points against Mississippi State.
