Rickie Wade Calfee, 59, of Maplesville died Monday, Jan. 12, Tuscaloosa County.
He was born on Friday, Sept. 30, 1949, in Chilton County, son of the late Erastus Lain Calfee and the late Dixie Malene Giles Calfee. He was a heavy equipment operator for Jim Walter Resources.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Judy G. Calfee of Maplesville; two sons, Mr. Rickie Wade (Hope) Calfee Jr. of Thorsby and Mr. Joseph Shannon (Dana) Calfee of Clanton; brother, Mr. Charles L. Calfee of Maplesville; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Williams of Clanton and Mrs. Betty Lowery of Maplesville; grandchildren, Trey, Nicholas, Grace and Faith Calfee.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., today, Jan. 15, at Mulberry Baptist Church.
Services will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bishop and the Rev. Mitch Thrower officiating. Interment will follow in Mulberry Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville.
