James Laine Carter, 53, of Plantersville died Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Survivors include his sons; James Laine Carter Jr. of Selma; Christopher Brandon Carter of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Charlotte Blackmon of Selma, Susan Hughey of Valley Grande, Pamela Burrows of Manilus, N.Y., Tammy Miley of Valley Grande; and a grandchild, Taylor James Carter.
A chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Yarbrough officiating and burial following at Plantersville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Hughey, Jake Day, Wade Ousley, Jere Blackmon, David Burrows and Sam Burge.
