Clifton Barnett, 68, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at his home in Minneapolis, Minn. Cliff was a former Birmingham resident.
Cliff graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He later earned his MBA from Stetson University in Florida. Before his retirement, Cliff was employed by EEOC in Birmingham as well as Kennedy Space Center. He also worked for the Department of Defense in Orlando, Fla. After relocating to Los Angeles in 1986, he taught at the college level at several different colleges.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Jane; his children, Angela DiBiase of Florida, Robert Barnett of Birmingham, Jacqueline Vaughan of Minnesota, Jennifer Suleiman of Amman, Jordan, and his former wife and mother of his children, Gaye Barnett Reeves. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Final arrangements were made in Minnesota and will be private.
