My New Year’s resolution

As everyone knows, this will be my first full year as a mom. Although I have gotten a few months of practice I, this will begin the long shot of getting my little man all grown up.

I can’t believe that he will be 4 months old on the 15 of this month. It seems like time is starting to catch up, and I am starting to lose it. With a new year coming up, I have made a list of things that I would like to see myself do including spending more time with Cole.

I am hoping that after the holidays the schedule will start to slow down a little, and I can then get home early enough to play with the bundle while I can still swoop him up and hear him giggle about it, instead of being like my 1 year old cousin who doesn’t want to be held unless she asks you to.

That one year mark is getting here pretty quick though, and I have now realized that I need to start slowing down and making sure that I taking everything in. The past year has flown by so fast that I couldn’t begin to remember things that have happened. It seems that as I get older, my schedule becomes a little more set and every day is the same old thing to where there is nothing really to remember.

In the new year, I want to make sure I keep things changed up enough to where every day has something to make a mark in my memory.

I don’t know what everyone has planned to try and do in the new year, but now is time to make things start. Today is the first day of a new chapter. You now have a choice to turn the page and draw a new picture or keep tracing over the old one.

I wish everyone luck in the new year and I hope that everyone has a safe and fun holiday.
