Don’t miss out on the Christmas Walk

For many years, West End Baptist Church of Clanton has given the people of the Chilton County area a special Christmas gift. You and your entire family can enjoy your gift tonight at Goose Pond Park in Clanton, located on Highway 31 North.

The Christmas Walk is a live presentation of the real story of the Christmas season and has attracted thousands of people who come annually to see and hear the story of Christmas told through various narrated scenes located along the walking path of the park. A mission of the church, the Christmas Walk provides an entertaining way for parents to enjoy the story of Christmas with their children and their grandchildren.

This year’s Christmas Walk performances began Friday evening and continued last night. Tonight individuals, families and church groups are expected to brave the colder temperatures to enjoy the Walk.

The guided tours through the Walk are free to the public, and church members will be present to assist with parking.

The Christmas Walk committee, those who participate in the scenes and all those who have worked hard to make the Walk a reality for Chilton area residents do so to make sure all of us have an opportunity to enjoy the Christmas story in a unique way. I appreciate their efforts and Christmas gift each December. I believe you will too if you come to the park tonight.

If you want to enjoy again the feeling you receive from the true reason for the season, bundle up and bring the entire family to Goose Pond Park tonight. I promise you will enjoy the experience.
