The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) from the Business Education Department at LeCroy Career/Technical Center challenged the rest of the departments at the school to a competition in collecting cans for the local Emergency Assistance Center during the month of November.
A total of 803 cans were collected as well as $389 for the center. The winning department was welding, with instructor Allen Deason. They will receive a choice of a biscuit breakfast or pizza party.
Tommy Glasscock, LeCroy Career/Tech Center director, along with Nancy Maners and Fran Pinson, business education instructors, presented the donations to Terry Collier, executive director of the Chilton County Emergency Assistance Center.
