Gifton “Buddy” Eugene Rush Jr., 74, of Clanton died Saturday, Dec. 6, at his residence.
He was born on Monday, March 26, 1934 in Chilton County, son of the late Gifton Eugene Rush Sr. and the late Della West Rush.
He was a Retired Aircraft Mechanic with the Air Force. He was also an avid Alabama fan.
Surviving are his two daughters, Kim (Greg) Lolley of Prattville, Wendy Rush of Huntingtown, Md.; two grandsons, Neal Lolley of Prattville, Gifton Lolley of Prattville,; three dranddaughters, Ashley Harriss of Huntingtown, Md., Jenna Harriss of Huntingtown, Md., Heather Harriss of Huntingtown, Md.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Rush.
Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held today, Dec. 9, at 2:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Strattis officiating. Interment will follow in Lomax Church of Christ.
