Hester Willis

Hester Mae Willis, 83, of Verbena died Sunday, Nov. 16, at her residence.
She was born on Monday, Oct. 26, 1925 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Luther Easterling and the late Lois Headley Easterling. She was a waitress.
Surviving are her three sons, Floyd J. (Linda) Willis of Prattville, Roger D. (Becky) Willis of Montevallo and Bobby W. (Sandra) Willis of Verbena; five brothers, Frank (Ellen) Easterling of Rootstown, Ohio, Luther (Mae) Easterling of Jackson, Ga., Conrow (Bernice) Easterling of Clanton, William (Brenda) Easterling of Verbena and Vaughn (Jan) Easterling of Clanton; sister, Betty (Richard) Byrd of Verbena; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Willis; brother, James Easterling; sister, Levis Edwards; sister, Evelyn Easterling.
Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Cleckley officiating. Interment followed in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena.
