Nell Ernestine Chapman Smith, 85, of Clanton died Friday, Nov. 14, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.
She was born on Thursday, May 3, 1923 in Chilton Co., daughter of the late Roy Davis and the late Georgann Cleckler Davis.
She was a Homemaker.
Surviving are her 4 daughters, Nina Fay Chapman of Steel, Rhonda Jacks of Clanton, Ceresse Smith of Clanton, Amanda Garcia of Clanton; son, Ernest Chapman of Clanton; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Marie Mims of Clanton.
Friends will be received from 5-8, Saturday, Nov. 15, at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Sunday, Nov. 16, at 11:a.m. at Billingsley Church of God with Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo, Clanton.
