Gas doing the limbo

Whatever impact gas conservation efforts have had on the fall in fuel prices, it cannot hurt to keep doing what we are doing.

While the real reasons for the rise and fall in prices are numerous and complicated, that does not mean we shouldn’t do what we can to help the situation. Most people probably never thought they would see the price of regular unleaded gasoline dip below the $2 mark again, but it has happened in Chilton County.

While there are heavy traffic days during the holidays, gas prices normally don’t show significant jumps until March, when the spring travel season starts to take off.

If we will keep carpooling, cutting out unnecessary trips, lightening our loads, maintaining our vehicles and price shopping for the cheapest gas, then we might make it easier for ourselves in 2009.
